My name is Miranda Hutson. I am a 21 year old from Oklahoma , and I am living in CF. I was diagnosed at 3 days with a maconium ileaus. I was very very healthy as a child up until 13 when I started needing hospitalizations, but that never slowed me down. I still managed straight A's in school and had tons of hobbies like softball, dance, taekwondo, honors programs, and anything else I could get involved in. I graduated with tons of scholarships and went to college on a full ride , but I had to take a break because three months ago I was listed for a double lung transplant . Now I'm in St. Louis, MO waiting for my perfect new lungs. The best thing that I can say about my experience with having CF is that we are so strong, and we were born to survive. A CF patient is a soldier battling for life every day after day. I admire every CF patient I meet just for waking up every day and going to war. They are my brothers and sisters and always in my heart.
