Cystic fibrosis is an inherited
chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system
of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000
worldwide).
I am just one person with this disease, like
it says above there are thousands of people all over the world
battling for another day. I am one of the lucky CF patients
that has lead a great life and has been able to function fairly
normal. I have a wonderful family and had a great career as
a paramedic. I am extremely greatful to be able to create
a way to raise awareness and money through my passion for
fishing.
I get alot of my strength from other CF patients,
those I chat with on the internet, and those that I have had
the honor to fish with. I consider myself a role model for
children that have this disease, when they fish with me, it
shows you can live a normal life despite having to do so many
treatments and take so much medication. They drive my passion
for this sport, and for finding a cure. This page is dedicated
to everyone that has Cystic Fibrosis now, and for those that
could no longer keep winning the battle.
If you are a survior of Cystic Fibrosis,
know someone with the disease, or someone that is now breathing
easy, please email me kpsfishing@yahoo.com. They will be added
below, and there name will also be placed on my boat, so everyone
I fish with can see who I am fighting for.
Here are just a few of us with Cystic Fibrosis and our amazing
stories.
