Joey "Peanut" Benton IV (age 6)

Joey was diagnosed at 6 weeks old, when he was still at his birth weight. We've had some lung infections, some tune-ups, but most of our struggles have been with the digestive symptoms. We decided to have a feeding tube inserted this past February and have seen amazing results.

Joey is currently a first grade student who loves math, computers and his soccer team. He is very active in raising money and awareness for CF. He was asked to be the spokes kid for his hospital's license plate program and had a billboard on I-26 in Charleston, SC for most of 2009.

The pictures below are of his first fishing trip (part of a CFF fishing tournament), a radio appearance to raise awareness and support for CFF's Great Strides, and him with his billboard.
